This scenario by Liz Waddle involves hordes of marauding unicorns whom want to destroy a fertile section of the Empire. You were chosen because you were the most expendable unit available. This scenario I personally liked because of its rich, entertaining plot.
Let me start with my nitpicking of the scenario. About 5 (five) outdoor sections are absolutely nothing but terrain, and serve no purpose what-so-ever except to provide passages to the other areas. Also, there is the lack of dialog in the scenario for a number of towns. Many characters respond to only one or two questions. The mayor just hides in a hole, asking for reports on progress. That, however, I can understand. There is also a lack of follow-through with the mention of one of the men’s wives committing suicide.
The plot is the main selling point of the scenario. Everything is centered around the plot. The unicorns have a big city in the mountains and you need to find it. You need to negotiate a treaty with them because the ogres slaughtered the high priestess of the unicorns.
Everything is well planned out and custom graphics are used well.
I give Borderlands: Encounter an 8.7, and it is truly a scenario of great proportions.
